  • Enterprise wide ERP system implementation for a company with annual sales of $20,000,000. The ERP system served as a significant portion of the foundation that facilitated the growth of this client to annual sales of $200,000,000. Provided the system support for this client during this 8 year growth period: network and infrastructure, business process reengineering, system design and redesign, the expansion of this implementation to 3 remote sites, general business consulting, training, and the management of the entire IT function at this organization. Drove the migration of this company from a text to graphical environment. This was, at the time, the largest implementation in the world of the internationally distributed ERP system.
  • Designed and implemented a company wide software solution that automated virtually every aspect of the operations of a high-end custom furniture manufacturer: accounting, billing, estimating, production scheduling, inventory management, shipping, receiving, product design, and customer relationship management. The implementation resulted in an immediate annual savings of over 7 man-years. Additionally, this infrastructure permitted the client to expand revenues four-fold while maintaining a constant administrative head count.

  • Managed the migration process from a completely manual to a totally automated environment for one of the largest regional public accounting firms in the United States. The client began this process with seven computers and many redundant processes. At the conclusion of the process there was a computer on each desk. All tax returns, client write up work, work papers, and time and billing functions were automated. Additionally, the staff had remote access to the various bookkeeping and calculation tools and was introduced to e-mail.

Fewer junior accountants were required for data preparation resulting in significant head count savings. Additionally, the competitiveness of the firm was increased due the ability to complete projects using fewer staff and man-hours. Further, the turn around for client deliverables were reduced.

  • Implemented a service management system at a client required to maintain a detailed service history for each of the federally regulated medical devices that they sold. A substantial portion of this project required the conversion, consolidation, validation, and cleansing of over 20 databases into a unified database. These databases were in four different formats and represented over 10 years of service history.

This IT area was effectively ineffectual prior to our intervention. This implementation greatly reduced the number of client hours required to maintain this information. Additionally, it greatly reduced the time required to comply with government reporting requirements.
  • Designed and the implemented the Contract Management System for a prestigious medical wing of the military. This client provides medical consulting and diagnostic services to physicians, clinics, hospitals, and universities throughout the world.

The application is a time and billing and project management system used to accumulate the man-hours and expenses applied to various contracts. The man-hours and expenses are classified by type and sub-type. The application was designed to be flexible and user configurable in that the valid inputs into the various time and expense entry screens are defined by the user.

The Contract Management System produces in excess of $1,000,000 in invoices on a monthly basis. Additionally, it functions as a reporting tool for monitoring actual billings relative to budget, as well as the productivity of individuals, teams, sub-departments, and departments.

  • Implemented an accounting, payroll, and distribution system for a national distributor of school supplies. The new system replaced one that was 15 years old. Created a data conversions mechanism to replicate the old chart-of-accounts, customer list, supplier list, inventory item list, outstanding purchase orders, sales orders, accounts receivable invoices, and accounts payable invoices.
